About Ounjian Foundation

Board of Directors

The Foundation’s Directors serve on a voluntary basis and are dedicated to promoting the Foundation’s objectives and achieving the Founder’s vision. The Board of Directors currently consists of three members:

Dr. John O. Ounjian.

Dr. Ounjian is the Founder and has provided the guiding vision of the Foundation. He remains very active and closely monitors all the projects and activities of the Foundation as well as its financial resources. Read more >>

Simon Yeznig Balian, Esq.:

Mr. Balian is an attorney in New York and has been a close friend and collaborator of Dr. Ounjian for many years. Mr. Balian actively developed, secured funding, and oversaw the implementation of a multitude of projects in Armenia valued at more than $250 million from 1992 through 2004. Mr. Balian was honored by President Robert Kocharyan with the Mekhitar Heratsi State Medal as well as by the Ministries of Education, Social Services, Health, and Defense.

Khosrof Izmirliyan:

Mr. Izmirliyan is an engineer and computer scientist in New York. He has been a collaborator of the Founder for many years and actively participates in the Foundation’s operation.
