Ounjian School Building 2
After several years of operation, Dr. Ounjian felt that the school needed to be physically expanded in order to provide more space for the students, more laboratories and expanded teaching hours. After many years of hard work, he was able to secure the property attached to the school. In late 2009, again working closely with his friend and Foundation Board Director Simon Yeznig Balian, he started the planning of the new building and reconstruction commenced in early 2010.
The new building will house additional classrooms, modern labs, including a unique computer and foreign language teaching lab.
The new building was completed in March 2011 and the official opening ceremony held on May 24, 2011 with the Prime Minister, Tigran Sargsyan, in attendance.

President Awards Dr. Ounjian With State Medal
On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Republic of Armenia, President Serge Sargsyan awarded Dr. John Ounjian with the State Medal for his services to the development of the Repubic of Armenia.
